Bees in the Classroom Program Overview

The Bees in the Classroom program is an interactive 40-minute presentation (plus Q+A) for elementary students that explores honeybee biology, the role of pollinators, and beekeeping, aligning with the Ministry of Education’s Science and Technology curriculum. It features visual aids, hands-on materials, a Q&A session, with the inclusion of a live observation hive dependent on suitable weather conditions (sunny and at least 15°C).

Live Bee Observation: Safely see honeybees in action through an enclosed observation hive.*

*Note: Live bee observation is weather dependent (sunny and 15°C+ required).

Environmental Focus: Understand bee conservation, pest management, and how small actions can help protect pollinators.

Real-World Learning: Learn how bees support global food systems and explore careers in science and agriculture.

Interactive & Multimedia: Includes microscopes, beekeeping tools, books, and engaging visuals for all learning styles.
